Crispy Baked Tacos
Get ready to add these amazing, easy, crispy tacos to your weekly taco Tuesday rotations! They're full of flavor and there's endless amounts of ways to tweak it based on your family's preferences.
Course Appetizer, Main Course
- 2 lbs chicken breast
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 15 tortillas fajita size
- 1 cup shredded cheese
Preheat oven to 425° and spray a large baking sheet with a nonstick spray.
Cook and shred chicken breast before mixing with salsa and taco seasoning. Optional: Add in your choice of mix-ins.
Wrap tortillas in a damp paper towel, 5 at a time, and microwave for 15 seconds to soften.
Add a layer of chicken, about 3 oz, to each shell and top with cheese (about 1 tbsp per taco.) Fold the tortilla and press the edges together to seat.
Repeat the process for remaining shells and line on a baking sheet. Spray a light layer of cooking spray over tacos.
Lay a single sheet of tinfoil over prepared tacos, then place a 2nd baking sheet on top of them to keep tacos sealed.
Bake for 12 minutes (with baking sheet on top) before flipping tacos and baking (without tinfoil or pan) for an additional 5 minutes.
Serve with your choice of sauces & sides and enjoy!
